How To Take Care Of Your Hands At Home- Homemade Remedy For Smooth Hands

Hey Beauties!

Before i start the regular blog, i want to apologize for disappearing from the surface for that long, i had some undone jobs to deal with. Now let's get to the blog that is about how to have smoother hands and how to take care of your hands at home in winters by a simple homemade remedy that is easy to prepare and use altogether. So without wasting more time let's get straight to the secret of smoother softer hands all by yourself at home.
Who doesn't like nice hands? i know winters right? But who said you can't win this battle when you can always have an access to the secret to soft, beautiful hands. And apart from the dry hands looking not to nice, it is also harmful for you might get cuts and cracks as mostly people do in winters when their skin is not moisturized enough. And regular body butters or body lotions won't work unless you apply and keep reapplying it all the day which is kind of frustrating in it's self. However, drinking a lot of water and keeping your skin moisturized is the only way to fight this battle.

Things you'll need:

So first thing's first, you gotta take out all the ingredients and thing you will be needing and have them ready in front of you before getting started. Basically you will need ;

  • three cups
  • a knife
  • an airtight jar/bottle.

Ingredients:

Glycerin:

Glycerin is a sugar alcohol and is vastly used in moisturizers and body creams. It is also used in soaps to restore moisture of the skin. Glycerin is used as moisturizer all by itself as well.
So what you need is a cup of regular glycerin.

Rose Water:

If you don't know about benefits of rose water then that's really strange. For rose water is popular for being an anti-oxidant agent and for helping in reducing the aging and preventing wrinkles and fine lines. In addition to these qualities and much more, rose water is highly recommended as a toner for it cleans the pores and also hydrates the skin at the same time. It also brings glow to the skin and is used in many facial care kits and treatments.
Here, you will need a cup of Rose Water for your magic moisturizer.

Lemon Juice:

OK this is optional and is recommended for night time but if you plan to use this magic moisturizer in the day time, than i recommend not adding lemon juice in the entire mixture but store it in a separate jar and take a few drops along with the main mixture at night. While use the lemon-free moisturizer in the sun.
Lemon juice is king of cleansers when it comes to home remedies, it fights acne and aging and helps keeps the skin spotless and glowing.
For the amount of ingredients prescribed above, you'll need one regular size organic lemon. Just squeeze it into a cup remove the seeds and you're good to go.

Method:

Mix all the ingredients together and put in an airtight jar or bottle and store in a cool dry place.

Usage:

Apply this magic moisturizer on your hands and feet every night before going to sleep. It might give you a funny feeling in the start but you'll get used to it and you'll love it when you start seeing the difference. Even the worst sort of skin can recover within 14-20 days if time and it's regular use will do wonders for you.

So try this out and let me know if you like it. I'll come again with more remedies, reviews and makeup techniques. See ya soon :)

Special Event Ahead: Deciding your OOTD & Makeup

Hey Beauties!

Imagine, a special event coming ahead, and you have no time/money to buy a new dress or make an appointment in the saloon. Does that sound familiar? Being a girl we all have been in this problem at least once by now. As for people like me, who tend to forget their next week's schedule, this can be a never-ending problem. I therefore decided to adopt a few easy habits and train myself with them so i can master my decision making power esp at such times of panic when you can't escape and you don't know what to do.

Be Organised:

Now this is something very special and something you should start doing right now, with no more delays. In fact this is the basic. If you keep your dresses, makeup products and accessories organized you'll rarely find any problem in just choosing from a few. Here are a few tips.

1) Divide your wardrobe into two sections that can be everyday wearable clothes that you would wear to work, at home or while going out with friend or when visiting people. And second section can be the fancy expensive dresses that you'd prefer to wear only in special occasions like weddings, proms, family functions or parties.

2) Separate the jewelry into various sections of bracelets, rings, ear-accessories, necklaces, ankles etc. It will make it a lot easier to find what you'd like to wear with a particular look.

3) Organize your footwear into shoes, sandals and heels. This way you will find your desired pair easily.

Choose the Outfit First:

I used be the kind of person who would choose a makeup look first and later would find an outfit that could go with the makeup, which was complete nonsense but i couldn't help it. Then i started practicing different looks on myself just to get better. But what really helped me was I trained my mind to pick-out the dress first. This can be a tricky part but it's your wardrobe and you can always explore it and do experiments. You should consider the following while picking a dress for a formal/special event.

1) Make sure you're not wearing something indecent, don't show up being a clown. Save yourself the respect and pick out a dress that would go with the event. keep in mind if it's a wedding, a formal dinner, a family gathering or a party. Choose wisely no one else can do this job for you.

2) Consult your BFFs who can search and look and give you advise regarding what to wear. But you have the ultimate decision to make so you're still the in charge, consulting a friend would just make it easier for you to decide.

3) Start from the top, choose the top first as that's the nearest to your face and your top is whats's gonna reflect on your face. People never really remember what color bottom/pants etc were others wearing but they will always remember the top, or it's reflection on your entire personality.

4) Don't try to be different(or something that you're not). Keep it simple and real. Wear what you're comfortable with. Never follow a fashion that ruins your natural style. Go for an outfit that makes you feel and look beautiful rather than something that keeps you uncomfortable and worried for hours.

5) Whatever you choose, be sure it works. Try it first in front of the mirror before taking the final decision, and remember you can always change your mind.

Choosing The Makeup Look:

You are now there with you dress so you can choose the perfect makeup look and the hairstyle that you wanna go with. I can share some very easy yet very helpful tips for choosing the makeup looks for these formal events.

1) Create your makeup look at least once before you actually start doing you makeup on that day.

2) Use a primer, the function can take you hours and you don't want to be a live model for oil painting there.

3) Don't go for too harsh/bold looks it will only show people how bad you need them to focus on your face, (unless you don;t like it of course)

4) If it's day use more matte colors on you're eyes and lips. If it's night time, add a little shimmer in to your look.

5) Line your eyes anyway you like, however rethink about the idea of using lashes and contacts if you're just a random guest in the event.

6) Louder eyes, lighter lips. Lighter/neutral eyes, brighter/bolder lips. That's how it should go if you're guest participant.

7) Do contouring and highlighting as it's a big event but don't overdo.

Hairstyles/Hijabs:

For my hijabi sister, it's too easy as whatever material or head-cap you pick all you gotta do is wrap and twist and give some folds and the magic is done. But for my non-hijabi sisters, you guys too need to have some practice or seek some assistance and you can create the perfect hairstyle. I have always seen girls doing updo's, braids, buns and blow-dry in formal events these days. But you can choose whatever you like, as long as it looks good and you're comfortable with it.

Choosing Footwear:

Choosing footwear to me is the easiest, for events like weddings and gatherings i would wear heels.
For parties I'd go for nice looking shoes or sandals so i can be comfortable in the,
If the dress is plane the shoes are bright, if otherwise, i keep the footwear matching to my bottom usually so it's doesn't make any difference yet adding up to my looks.

Accessorizing:

Choose whichever jewelry you like. You have no restrictions in this area but you still have a few things to think about.
1) Wear less and prominent jewelry to make a style statement.

2)  Bracelets/ watches are perfect if you don't want to look like a walking jewelry outlet.

3) If you neck is deeper/ wider wear short necklaces if you're wearing a dress with smaller necks wear long chains or avoid wearing necklace at all.

4) jewelry defines you collections, so can dig in take you time and find the limited and more appropriate pieces yourself.

I hope you guys will get some benefit out of this blog. Next time you have an event ahead and no time to go out and shop, trust your judgement and decide for yourself. See you all soon.

Fall 2015 Makeup Tips For Beginners

Hello beauties! Here I'm with another blog for you ^^

Dark clouds, windy evenings, long cloaks and cardigans, hot chocolates and soups, Beware! It's the Fall season. A dry, gloomy and paler time of the year, and as a makeup freak you might already know the basic trend that goes with fall and winters every year. The goal usually is to bring out something in contrast with the weather itself. However it turns out to be too dark and pigmented in most cases. When i was a learner, not that i'm not a learner anymore, but when i was looking for perfect fall looks, i got all these blogs and tutorials that always recommended dark lips, darker eyeliner heavy contouring etc. But it never came out as what i wanted to do with my face. And I would always end up looking too bold for a daily-wearable look. Not only this, the dark lips and eyeliners would always give a harsher look. So I decided to create my own fall looks using the color-span i liked to see reflected on my face. And it was wonderful.
Since i won't be able to write down each and every look, I'll just give you guys some simple steps to start with and I'm sure that will be all you'd want.

Be General:

So first thing's first, you must get out of these internet images that has limited your mind regarding what goes with fall and what does not. All these images you see, are people like you creating their own versions of fall make choosing the color span of their own choice. So if you see black to maroon/ reddish brown to red on a face, it doesn't mean its the only way you can do it. You must need to understand their is no ONE way of doing fall make up, it a season where gloss and matte both can survive. Black and Brown both will look gorgeous. Pink and maroon both are good to go with. So don't limit ideas.

Choose Your Color-span:

Now you can choose you own color-span. The Color Span basically means the flow of color down your face starting from your eyes, cheeks and lips. The detailing doesn't count. Choose your own colors, whatever that you think will look good on you. You can go as dramatic as you want but we're talking about everyday looks here.
I like to choose Neutral brown color for eyes, Pink Shimmery shades for cheeks and lip colors may vary but i like to go with light colors, matte or glossy but highly pigmented light colors are very attractive to me while choosing a makeup look for fall.

Use A Makeup Base:

Be it tinted moisturizer, foundation, BB cream or any CC cream. I use the Color Control by The Face Shop. I have given it's details in my previous blog. Click here to check that out.

Brighten Up Your Eyes:

Another very important thing is to brighten up your eyes. Fall or not your eye can look tired and using a light and bright color in the inner corner of your eyes. It will bring a glow not only to your eyes but to your entire look.
Use concealer if needed. Plus a little brown eye shadow in the crease area can create more depth to your eyes. I prefer using Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette for fall eye makeups as it has all the colors i want in it.
Eyeliner is optional for me but even if i do apply eyeliner i keep it natural by applying it as close to my lash-line as i can using small stroking motion. I do once in a while wing it out for about 1/4 of a cm when i go for more definition.
Also don't forget to use your favorite eye-cream to give your eyes a natural treatment against the harsh weather. I use my regular moisturizer by the way but if you wanna treat your eyes especial, go for it.

Highlight Those Cheekbones;

While many looks are focusing on heaving contouring, i recommend you to highlight your cheekbones for an everyday look. This will do the job giving your face a nice texture and also adding that extra glow to you look.
Use a shimmery blush, you can always use dark colors for this, as long as it doesn't look "too much" on you face. I like to use Bootycall from Naked 2 as a highlighter. Because it suits the looks that i create.

Give Your Lips Some Glossy Safety:

I am a big fan of long-staying matte lipsticks but my lips are not. Lip problems increase in Fall and i always end up using lip balms, olive oil or regular Vaseline.
This is why, i recommend using tinted lip-balms and lip glosses.
Glossy Lip products are tend to go better with Fall even if one is not wearing any makeup at all. It brings glow your face and also protects your lips from cracking.

Other essential tips:

Drink a lot of water to hydrate your skin from within. Use moisturizer twice a day. Lip balms are great even if you don't intend to wear make up. Using Dark colors for your dresses rather than make will do a wonderful job for you. Wear blacks, dark browns, maroons, and such colors that go contrasting the pale dry weather.

These were my Fall ideas for 2015. Check out my other posts as well. Stay tuned for more amazing stuff. Good Luck :)
