Ever tried to create that smokey eye and ruined it because you could't choose the right colors? Or it took you so long that you couldn't catch up? Or was perfect but rest of your make didn't go with it? Well here's a solution for all of you. This blog will show you the easiest way to create a perfect smokey eyes in very short time. I've noticed that most of the girls who are in the self-learning process and follow all the instructions are also left dissatisfied with their results due to less or no collaboration in their eye makeup and rest of the face. Here I will show you what type of make will suit your smokey eyes, What products to use and what colors to choose. And in very easy steps. So you can create not only the perfect smokey eye in minutes but also wear the best makeup that can go with your eyes.

Choose Your Color Span:

Choose what type of shades do you want to feature on your eyes. Smokey doesn't really mean Black, it just means dark and smokey and no law in the world can bound you in make up arts anyways. So feel free in choosing your colors.
I'm Still going to give you a general idea on what colors to use for specific type of eyes.

Green Eyes:

If you have green eyes Plum and purple color can pop your smokey eye up in a very nice way. Use purple, plum, grey and even try out flame colors as your transition colors. Grey and black smoke will look perfect on you.

Blue eyes:

You guys can try out brown, bronze, copper and gold colors. Black and dark brown smoke will go as perfect contrast your eyes.

Hazel Eyes:

Use greens, blues and all such colors as transition colors to pop your eyes up. A rose gold color highlighter will also add up much to your look. Grey smoke will look very nice.

Black and brown eyes:

You have no laws :p you can choose any theme you like and it will look wonderful. However there is one thing about dark brown eyes, the darker eye-make up you use, the lighter your eyeball appears. Esp by lining the inner &/or outer lash-lines with black will bring this instant change, so just keep that in mind and decide what do you wanna go for.

What Type Of Shades To Use For Smokey Eye Makeup;

For the highlighters you can use creamy consistency as it tends to give more definition. The base colors and transition colors, whatever color they may be, should be matte because they're just acting as background for the actual color. The darkest color that is going to be used as the smokey shadow works best when it's loose powder as it contributes to better blending.

How To Choose Colors For Smokey eye Makeup Look:

You have to choose four colors that can fit in the following four categories;

The Shimmery Highlighter:

I is going to be the lightest, brightest, most illuminating shade, i usually choose my regular highlighter for this one.

The Matte Medium/Base Color:

It's going to be all over your lid. The base color should be matte because it is not their to speak for itself to let other colors pop up the best. This color is going to even out your eye lid so all other colors can illuminate perfectly.

The Transition Color:

This should be somewhat lighter than the dark smokey color you will be using next. It's more like contour of the eyes. As far as typical smokey eye makeup is concerned, brown shades are perfect as transition colors as it creates and redefines your crease and also act as a transition for your smokey shade.

The Smokey Color, Darkest Shade:

It's is the darkest shade and man of the show. It's is usual black, grey black but color span can always vary. However for smokey eye that I'm showing you guys here, black is prefect because less is more and also because somehow blending black eye-shadow is much faster may be due to dark pigmentation something but it's always quicker when it's black. Plus another thing i love about black eye shadow as the smokey color is you'll always end up with the same look every time you try it.

Essential Products To Use For Smokey eye makeup:

Eye-Shadow Primer:

This is a must if you don't want you eye make up to eventually look like a bruise mark. Smokey eye make is always very dark and if it doesn't stay in it's place it can ruin you entire face. You must use a good quality primer so your make up stay on for hours.up:

Eye Shadows:

You will obviously need eye shadow kits that has the desired colors you want to go with. For general smokey eye, i prefer taking Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and a matte black eye-shadow of any brand. As long as it's matte.

Eye Liner & Eyepencil:

You will need eyeliner to redefine your eye make up. It also give a neat look and a sense of completeness to your eye make up. For smokey eyes, black liner is most appropriate choice. Also Get your self an eyepencil of the same pitch black color to apply it into the lower lash line.

Mascara;

You can use mascara if you like, i prefer curling my lashes as they're super long and thck, but they are straight, so curling my lashes does it all for me.

Concealer;

concealer will correct the dark under eye areas and brighten up the dull skin, for smokey eye can NEVER look anything even close to pretty if you have dark circles.

Get Smokey in Minutes:

1) Start out with a clean face, apply your eye-shadow primer all over your eyes.

2) Apply the matte base color to you eye lids to even out the skin tone of your eyes.

3) Apply highlighter to your brow-bone, and you inner corners. Apply highlighter to the inner corner of you lower lids too.

4) Use the transition color, in my case it's the color TEASE from Naked 2 palette. Apply it into your crease using back and forth motion.

5) Time to create the smoke;

  • Start applying very less amount of the black shadow in the out corner of you eyes and connect it with you crease line by drawing a U shape or a V shape, which ever you prefer, outwardly
  • Apply some more of the dark eye shadow along the lash line in the outer corners of your eyes and blend it outward and upwardly. Keep reapplying till you get the desired consistency.
  • Blend Blend Blend.
  • Use the transition color below the middle of your lower lash line and use the dark shade to blend it to the out corner of your lower lid.

6) Apply a pencil eyeliner into your lash line, you can use a kohl pencil for this too. Apply the liquid/gel based Eyeliner on top of your lash line.

7) I prefer using concealer after your eye makeup, once you're done, wipe the fall outs from your face and apply concealer carefully to your under eye areas. And blend it nicely to get desired coverage.

8) Curl your lashes and apply Mascara to finish up your eye make up.

Makeup For Rest of the Face With Smokey Eyes:

1)You can use a full coverage foundation and complete make up base To get that flawless skin tone.

2)Highlight You cheek bones, center of your forehead, bridge of your nose, chin and your cupid's bow.

3)Use a peach blush to get neutral look.

4)Wear a glossy nude lip color and you're good to go.
